Museum to hold Scottish Festival

The Amherst Museum will host its 22nd annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at 3577 Tonawanda Creek Road in Amherst. The Glengarry Bhoys, Stone Row and Penny Whiskey will play in the entertainment area.

The gates will open at 9 a.m. with a performance by Braemar Niagara Pipe Band. Amateur Scottish athletic events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on the green.

The opening ceremony will kick off at noon with a Parade of Massed Bands, Clans National Anthems sung by Nancy Lang.
