John Harrison Loomis, retired from Worthington Pump

John Harrison Loomis, formerly of Williamsville, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at his home in Miramar, Fla.

Born in Williamsville, he was a 1942 graduate of Purdue Univ e r s i t y.

Mr. Loomis was a captain in World War II. He retired from Worthington Pump in 1981.

He lived in Florida for nine years prior to his death.

Mr. Loomis is survived by his wife, Nancy Denby Loomis; two daughters, Linda L. Eastwood of Miramar, Fla. and Leslie Garner of Glenwood Springs, Colo; two sons, Leigh Loomis of Houston, Texas and Larry of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Audrey Loomis Brown of Williamsville; also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation has already taken place with ashes to be scattered at a later date in Niagara Falls.

Arrangements were made by the Scarano Funeral Home in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
