Couple celebrates 65 years

Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Schmidt

Elizabeth M. and Charles H. Schmidt, formerly of Kenmore, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a party given at The Blocher Homes in Williamsville, where the couple now lives.

Charles Schmidt married the former Elizabeth Mary Rothfus on July 3, 1941 at St. James Evangelical and Reformed Church in Buffalo.

Charles is retired from the GTE Buffalo Division where he was in management.

Elizabeth is a retired homemaker.

The couple has two children, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
