Mesi to fight in Arkansas

How does your garden grow?
     Mary Lavin, a principal at Windermere Elementary School, works with Mike Matala and Andrew Finn, staff members, to fix up the garden at the entryway of the school. They were joined by 25-30 volunteers during the two-day project. Classes resume in the Amherst Central School District on Sept. 5.

Massey guilty of murder in the second degree

     Maria Suplicki takes a sample of Amherst resident Grachik Kyarunts's blood to be tested for PSA, cholesterol and glucose during the health fair, sponsored by Assemblyman Jim Hayes, R-Amherst, held at the Amherst Senior Center on Saturday. The fair is the largest of its kind in Erie County.
