Senior travel club to hold

membership tea

The Amherst Senior Travel Club will hold its annual Holiday Membership Tea from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway in Amherst. Membership dues are $7 for individual and $10 for couples. The club is open to people 55 and older who are members of the Senior Center. The travel club meets at 1 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the center.

‘Relevant Worship’

Museum to hold

winter fundraiser

The Amherst Museum is accepting new hats, gloves, scarves and mittens to decorate the Mitten Tree through Dec. 31 at the museum, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road in Amherst. In return, donators will receive a complementary admission to visit the museum. All contributions will be donated to the children at Buffalo School #45, and books will also be collected for the library.

CPA to begin

The Amherst Police Department will offer a Citizen’s Police Academy for 13 weeks of education about the department. The session will begin February 13 at the station, 350 John James Audubon Parkway.
