      Adult support group meetings for people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month at Ascension Lutheran Church, 4640 Main St. in Snyder. For parents and guardians who have a child with ADHD, a support group will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of every month at the church.

No injuries reported as house fire causes $40,000 damage
      It was an early wake-up call for Richard Canazzi of Amherst when he was startled out of bed by flames in the wall of his home. At 3:45 a.m. Monday, Canazzi was alerted by his smoke detector that there was a fire in his home. The Snyder Fire Department as well as the Getzville Fire Company both responded to the incident. When they arrived, they found flames coming through the roof of the house.

      Andy Brocato, of Tops Markets at 3980 Maple Road, helps Linda Vanbuskirk and Marlene Schillinger, load a portion of 33 tons of donations to the Food Bank of Western New York into a truck.       Youths from around the area gave up their Halloween candy to help feed those in need. Those who sold back the most candy were recently awarded gifts for their generosity. Dr. Michael Foley of Winning Smiles Pediatric Dentistry on Amherst Manor Road held the Got Candy??? contest following Halloween through Nov. 22.
