Maple Road vote postponed

According to the agenda for tonight’s Amherst Town Board meeting, the vote on rezoning a portion of Maple Road will not be held.

Assistant Planning Director Gary Black said other departments, including those from Erie County, have not had 30 days to review certain changes to the plan. He said the change was made last week.

 Benderson Development Co. is seeking the rezoning from Community Facilities to General Business and Multi-Family Residential to make way for a multi-use development called Town Centre.

This is not the first time the date has been postponed. The plan was submitted in February 2007, and the request for rezoning has been changed several times.  It was most recently moved from April 7 to today.

The board has not set a new date at this time.
